What is a permanent magnet coupler?
A permanent magnet coupler is also known as a magnetic coupling, permanent magnet transmission. It is mainly composed of copper rotor, permanent magnet rotor and controller. Generally speaking, the copper rotor is connected to the motor shaft, and the permanent magnet rotor is connected to the worker's shaft. There is an air gap (called an air gap) between the copper rotor and the permanent magnet rotor, and there is no mechanical connection for transmitting torque. In this way, a soft (magnetic) connection can be formed between the motor and the operator, thereby adjusting the air gap and realizing the change of the operator's shaft torque and speed. According to the different air gap adjustment methods, permanent magnet eddy current motors are divided into standard type, delay type, torque type, speed control type and other types.
What are the technical advantages of permanent magnet couplers?

What are the characteristics of permanent magnet coupler
Permanent magnet couplers also have their limitations. According to the classification, different types should be selected to adapt to different working conditions. Can not completely replace the frequency converter, hydraulic coupling and other products (in some special occasions), but also can not replace the reducer, gearbox. There is no energy saving effect on the load of constant torque and constant power. The energy-saving effect of the speed-regulating permanent magnet coupler is only reflected in the equipment with centrifugal load, which is determined by the characteristics of the centrifugal equipment itself, not the characteristics of the permanent magnet coupler itself. Other speed control devices (frequency converter, hydraulic coupling, etc. also have energy saving effect.
